Firm Overview

Storbeck/Pimentel & Associates is a minority and female owned retained executive search firm specializing in providing executive recruitment services to colleges, universities, independent schools and not-for-profit organizations.  Although our name may be new to some, our search team is not.  Storbeck/Pimentel & Associates is a direct evolution of the Education and Not-for-Profit Practice of A.T. Kearney Executive Search and is comprised of more than 25 consultants and support staff located in two main offices (Los Angeles and Philadelphia) with three affiliated offices in Vermont, Virginia and Florida.  Our firm includes all the consultants from A.T. Kearney’s Education/Not-for-Profit Practice and a few additions from other leading national and international search firms.  Our firm is led by the same search personnel that many institutions of higher education and not-for-profit organizations have come to know and trust.  The firm’s leadership team includes Shelly Storbeck, Alberto Pimentel, Chuck Bunting and Sharon Tanabe, all with extensive experience in conducting higher education and not-for-profit searches.  Collectively, they have more than 60 years of experience in the executive search industry and have conducted more than 1,500 executive level searches for higher education and not-for-profit clients over the course of the last 20 years.  As a result, our collaborative approach, dedication to our clients, and continual focus on providing the highest possible caliber of candidates has become our trademark.  We believe that our competitive advantage lies in the quality of our people and the desire to provide the highest level of service possible to our clients.
