Alyssa Perez, an Associate at Storbeck/Pimentel, spoke Wednesday, July 19, on a panel at the 2017 National Association of Fellowships Advisors Conference in Philadelphia.
NAFA invited Alyssa to join panelists from Tulane, Carnegie Mellon, Duke, and American universities to discuss “Professional Paths for Fellowships Advisors: How We Got Here and Where We Want to Go.”
“I was thrilled to contribute to this conversation at a time when the field of fellowship advising is thinking more deeply about ways to professionalize and create pipelines,” says Alyssa. “One of the biggest questions that came up was a question about credentials: Master's or PhD? My answer is that there is no one answer -- it really depends on the culture of the institution.”
Storbeck/Pimentel & Associates recently partnered with the University of Richmond in its search for a Director of Scholars and Fellowships, placing Dana Kuchem in the role. Sue May led the search with Alyssa Perez.
